In 1988 Marc Jacobs joined Perry Ellis where he was well known for his courageous use of colours and silhouettes. In 1992 after he designed the grunge collection he left Perry Ellis and returned to his own brand. His brand is known for the choice of sensuous fabrics, such as angora, cashmere and mohair.
